Born in San Daniele del Friuli (UD) Italy on 17/04/1960.
Self-taught musician, has moved into jazz in 1978, working with the foremost local and national musicians and groups. He has attended seminars run by Jimmy Cobb, Duke University with Tommy Campbell (Umbria Jazz 1985), Berklee School Boston (Umbria Jazz 1986) and Peter Erskine (Ravenna 1987 and Udine 1993).
As a composer of video, Theatre and modern dance soundtracks, he cooperated with Arearea group led by Roberto Cocconi, Centro Servizi Spettacoli Udine and “Teatrino de Rifo”.For 8 years he has been member of the Enrico Rava’s “Electric Five” band which he tored extensively in Italy, Europe, Canada and Japan. Besides, he has been a member of the “Rava-Carmen” project and involved (with Rovigo’s Symphony Orchestra) in the “Ragazzi Selvaggi” (Wild Boys) opera staging, whose musics were composed by Rava.
Eight years ago he began running percussion classes in the penitentiary of Udine, Pordenone and Tolmezzo: three CDs, featuring the convicts, resulted from that experience.
As a percussion teacher, he works in his region and sometime in other italian towns, in different labs and clinics.
