When it comes to overplayed, worn-out composers, Tchaikovsky would certainly be mentioned among the first. Symphonies, Piano Concerto in B Flat minor, ballet… but hang on, choir works? Stage music?? Unfinished piano concerto??? We wrap up many surprises, it pays off to unwrap them. It’s just unbelievable that his most beautiful compositions are drowned in their Sleeping Beauty slumbers (pardon), since barely anyone has heard from the lord of symphonies any a capella choral. Dismay and timeless orthodox pathos.
