Because he was an idealist, a fiery revolutionist, an unfortunate, and was our kind. And because we are fond of his music – of course.
Who was he? Florestan, a man of the world, the conqueror of Philistines or Eusebius, the introverted, desolate poet? Genius or lunatic, a messed-up pianist, or the successor of the great composers Bach and Beethoven? In the concerts of our series of portraits we would like to evoke Schumann to have him answer the questions by his music.
FLORESTAN – 1st concert of the Schumann Series
EUSEBIUS – 2nd concert of the Schumann Series
