2nd Semester of 2016 – 4 Concerts
Dates of the concerts:
29 September 2016 | 21 October 2016
23 November 2016 | 21 December 2016
The concerts would always be preceded by an Initiatory lecture.
For one and a half year, our orchestra has been organizing initiatory lectures at 17:45 preceding all concerts at the Music Academy concerning the concert you may visit for free. These initiatory lectures would be made by pianist and music teacher Gábor Eckhardt who enriches them by playbacks, slideshow and various musical delicacies.
The guest at the colloquy is always the conductor of the specific concert.
A man is standing. He is bathing in the light with eyes closed, feeling lightheaded, feeling the immense existence. The “Wild Hammersmith” inside is only weighing his sledge.
A man is sitting. Werewolves and werefoxes around him offer him costly western cognac. Bewitched by the senselessness of their noodled speaking, he admires the man in them, while a small haiku creeps into his lap.
A man is lying. The coat was quite new, how will mom react? By breathing more slowly, it doesn’t hurt any more, even the sound of the shooting has gone by. There’s no other than “us”, and he’s quite unaware of being afraid
A man is standing: for the first time in his life, and he will remember this moment for the rest of his moments. Giants lean over his shining eyes, lights and sparkling twinkle on the tree that has grown in the living room, and a paper underneath encapsulating the enigma: the future. A staggering step by himself, and tears fall from mom’s eyes. One must smile for everyone’s happy unaware of the fact that a new life starts here. This is freedom itself.
Freedom of the body: love, freedom of the soul: music. For freedom is the moment when one start living. When reflective self-consciousness becomes controls life instead of a talking robot, when one senses the truth of the moment, when one tastes the finite nature of life that makes sweet the short time we have left: this is what freedom is for me. To know that the decision is in our hands, that we have power over ourselves and that we have a place in the universe. That the spirit is always stronger than the body, and that art implies the promise of certainty: it is worth living. These are naive ideas, perhaps true ones.
Let’s therefore be children and heroes, naive and free people together. No, freedom is not included in the polling booth nor in the Constitution. It is in you.
